Getting Started

Q: Why should I use a yield optimization solution?

A: As a publisher, you surely wish to increase the revenue generated from your web sites. But you may not have the time or experience needed to build relationships with potential advertising partners, or optimize the value of ads that they serve on your site. A yield optimization solution will connect you to many ad networks, exchanges, and DSPs, while letting you optimize their ad-serving capabilities and maximize your revenue. Meanwhile, you are left to focus on improving your sites and growing your business.

Q: What does it take to start working with you?

A: It only takes 5 minutes to set-up, and then you’re up and running. All that is needed from you is to sign-in, list your ad placements, and then cut & paste a simple Java code snippet to your web pages. Once this is done, the ignitAd solution immediately starts to auction, optimize, earn, and track your site’s performance.

Revenue optimization

Q: How long does it take for me to start seeing results?

A: While this differs from one site to another, and depends on a site’s size and characteristics, most of our customers start seeing results within 3-4 weeks. Our solution is continuously processing and testing multiple optimization setups, while its optimization algorithms have a learning curve which leads to improved results over time.

Q: What performance can I expect from your solution?

A: There is no typical CPM that can be used as a projection because CPMs vary from one site to another, and depend on each site’s traffic, content and characteristics. Nevertheless, performance-wise, our typical customer usually sees a revenue increase of 50% to 100%, and in some cases, even higher.

Technical & Support

Q: What ad sizes do you support?

A: We support the most common IAB standard ad sizes, including: 120×600, 160×600, 300×250, 336×280, 468×60, and 728×90.

Q: Do I need an ad server?

A: No. You don’t need to be using any ad server in order to use the ignitAd yield optimization solution. Our JavaScript tags can be cut & paste directly into your web pages.

Q: Can you work with my ad server?

A: Yes. ignitAd’s solution can work with any ad server that you are using to serve and manage the ads on your web site.

Q: Do you change my page layout?

A: No. We respect the fact that you have put a lot of thinking into how your site should look. Our ad serving is done within the areas that you decide to allocate for advertising, and ads are served only within these placements and according to size.

Q: How do I add more sites to my account?

A: Once you are logged in to your account, you can go to the “Add sites” tab, and add more sites to the one you entered during the sign-in process.

Q: Your solution is self service, but what happens if I need support?

A: You are always welcome to contact us with any question, request or proposal at support@ignitAd.com. Drop us a line and our team will promptly get back to you.

“No Risk” Program

Q: What is the “No Risk” Program?

A: The “No Risk” program allows publishers to benefit from using ignitAd’s solution without the risk of decreased revenue. If a publisher qualifies and is accepted to the program, ignitAd will guarantee to that publisher an eCPM at least equal to, if not greater than, the eCPM that AdSense generates – but not less. The ignitAd system will run a split test using AdSense as a benchmark. If ignitAd doesn’t perform better, we will match AdSense’s eCPM on our traffic, and pay you the difference. Please note that in order to apply and participate in the “No Risk” program, you will need to provide us with access to your AdSense account so that we can use it to both optimize your performance as well as use it as a benchmark. Payment Information

Q: How much do you charge for your service?

A: Our fee is based solely on revenue sharing with customers and is calculated as 15% of the total revenue that we generate for them. In other words, we transfer 85% of revenue to our customers, a rate which is among the highest in the industry. We do not charge our customers with any set-up fees or with a monthly retainer for our services.

Q: What payment methods do you support?

A: We currently support PayPal as a payment method. More payment methods will be coming soon.

Q: When will I get paid?

A: Payments are made on a Net+45 days schedule. If your account balance reaches $100.00 in any given month, we’ll send your payment before the 15th of the second following month, provided there are no holds on your account from demand sources (exchanges, networks, or DSPs). For example, if your account balance reaches the payment threshold during October, we’ll send you payment before the 15th of December.

AdSense account information

Q: Why do I need to give my AdSense account information?

A: In some cases AdSense is the best source, and as such, we want to include it in the mix of advertisers that our optimization algorithms choose from. Furthermore, in cases where our other advertisers cannot beat AdSense, we will automatically know to divert traffic to your AdSense account, thus providing you with a risk free solution. And finally, in order to give you a better understanding of how well we perform, we will constantly run a control group on a small part of your AdSense traffic, and show you within our dashboard how much better we do.

Q: Is it safe to give you my AdSense account information?

A: It is very safe! We will NOT share your account information with anyone, NOR will we share your data with any third party. Additionally, we will NOT make any changes whatsoever in the existing settings of your accounts, such as channels, payment method, contact information, etc.

Q: What will you do with my AdSense account information?

A: The only thing we will do is automatically create custom channels and monitor their performance.

A: Whether you are using one of the widely spread white-label platforms, or are running your own self-developed system, integrating with ignitAd is very simple and straightforward.
